Annually, we set aside a day to give to God an amount above our normal tithes and offerings. Each year these offerings go towards a different project. Recently we've endeavored to resurface the parking lot (2020) and repair the roof (2021). Additionally, a percentage of the Ingathering Offering goes towards supporting local & global missions.
The concept of "ingathering" is rooted in Biblical practice, specifically from the Old Testament feasts of the Israelites. It refers to the Feast of Ingathering (also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot), which is mentioned in passages like Exodus 23:16 and Exodus 34:22. This feast was celebrated at the end of the agricultural year to thank God for the harvest.
In our modern church context, the purpose of an ingathering is to bring together the collective resources—financial and otherwise—of the congregation to give thanks to God for His provision and to invest in the future of the church's ministry. This echoes the Biblical principle of tithing and firstfruits, where believers give a portion of their blessings back to God to support His work on earth. It is an act of communal faith and a recognition that all provision comes from God, and it is a way to ensure the church's physical infrastructure can continue to support its spiritual mission.
This project continues last years' efforts to addresses a critical need to replace heating and cooling infrastructure in our church building. The work will include replacing the following units:
Estimated Cost: $25,000
Funds over and beyond the above estimated cost will go towards repairs/replacement of other non-ciritcal HVAC units.
This project supports our mission to Grow & Go by promoting a welcoming environment as we invite people from our worlds to attend our services and events. It also removes a distraction when we are gathering and growing with Jesus (we’re all a little nicer when we’re comfortable 😉).

New heating and cooling units will bring greater efficiency and reduced utility costs – allowing us to invest more finances into active ministry.
